Manage priority access in Microsoft Teams
Managing Priority Access in Microsoft Teams
Do you know the situation? You are currently working on a complex task and have therefore set your status to Do Not Disturb. This means that you are not reachable in teams for your colleagues and have the much-needed rest to focus on the task. However, some team members need urgent information on the topic you are working on.
With priority access in Teams, you can also receive messages, chat messages, calls, and mentions from defined people in “Do Not Disturb” mode.
How is priority access enabled?
- Go to the Teams Settings;
2. Select “Privacy” and then click “Manage priority access”:
3. Add the people you want to receive notifications from:
4. Your settings are saved and activated:
You can also reach contacts with priority access if your status is Do Not Disturb
The contacts with priority access can be easily managed and changed at short notice, so you can customize this depending on the task.
